On our doorstep is the picturesque little village of Cartmel, with its ancient priory, interesting shops, lovely walks and cosy pubs. It is also home of the world-famous sticky toffee pudding, Many of the areas most fascinating stately Homes & Gardens are within 8 miles of the Hotel, and offer a great day out for all ages and interests, These include Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall and Levens Hall. All well worth a visit!. And those of you with children will love the Beatrix Potter Experience in Bowness as well as the Wildlife Park in Dalton (tiger feeding time should not be missed). The Wildlife Oasis in Carnforth will also keep them occupied and interested for hours. The Arts are also well catered for with the Abbot Hall Art Gallery in Kendal and Blackwell House in nearby Bowness. And if you enjoy the simpler things in life, what could be better than a round of golf at Grange Golf Club, or a leisurely stroll through some of the world`s finest scenery on our doorstep?
